Covid-19 has changed the way we approach daily tasks throughout the Mainswest organisation. The health and safety of our employees, contractors and the community comes first.
We’d like to reassure you that in response to the situation we are:
Following all Australian Health Department recommendations
Taking steps to minimise the risk of transmission of the virus among our employees, including directing anyone who is feeling unwell to stay away from work, to self-isolate on return from travel overseas as per the current Australian Health Department directions
Minimising visitors to our offices and site
Implementing Social/Physical distancing which includes:
Non-essential public gatherings, excluding household members, have been reduced to a maximum of two people
Minimise all unnecessary contact with others
Keep 1.5 metres away from others
Avoid physical greetings such as handshakes, hugs and kisses, sharing pens
Use tap and pay instead of cash
To prevent the spread we encourage practise good hygiene;
Cover your mouth for coughs and sneezes with your elbow
Dispose of tissues properly
Wash your hands often with soap and water, including before and after eating and after going to the toilet
Use alcohol-based hand sanitisers if available
Regularly clean and disinfect surfaces
Clean and sanitise frequently used objects such as mobiles, keys and wallets
Limit interactions with the public
We constantly remind our employees that have the right to STOP WORK if they don’t feel safe
